Taking inspiration from one of the aesthetics and practice experiment, I took two of the previous movement images and tried to project them onto fabric and mod roc. I wanted to use the light from the projection to highlight the texture of the material, having the darker outline of the image to eventuate the marks. The first image (Figure 1) projected onto the mod roc in front of the fabric created some exciting texture. The curvature of the line didn't draw attention to the texture but more to the model's overall shape. The second image of string movement marks (Figure 11) from the previous experiment, when projecting it, created a very different effect, more unsettling. This is probably because they are very web-like. For the videos taken from both image experiments, I rotated the mod roc as well to see how the image stretches and distorts along the surface of the mod roc. To add to the unsettling effects, I tried to dramatically increase the image's contrast to create a very vibrant blue. Taking this experiment forward, there are two different parts that I need to look at, the image being projected and the shape of the model. Perhaps projecting a video instead of an image will then create the distorted aspect that I enjoyed from this experiment. I also need to understand when making the model, question why am I modelling it in a particular manner.
