Heritage Gallery Experiment Week 1

Sound and Image Festival 2020

For the first week of experimenting in the Heritage Gallery, I was not as prepared as I should have been. When re-entering the space, it hit me again how much space was available to experiment in. Making a mental note to bring in more material (Mod roc) to experience what it is like to explore the material on a large-scale, for now I used a blank sheet of plastic to hand on the corner of the wall to project onto. I used images from photogrammetry experiments as well as a screen recorded video from the Unity experiment, using this time to refresh my memory on how to projection map onto the material. Because the shape of how the plastic was hung was very irregular, it took a while to projection map and even then there were a lot of problems. I would count this week to be a reminder on how large the space is and I'll be sure to be more prepared for the next week.
