Below are close up of the models, focusing on the parts that I find interesting. The projected lights onto the mod roc creates some beautiful but also grotesque looking forms, making me feel slightly uncomfortable but there is a strange sense of wanted to touch the image to feel the model. It makes me think that because I know what it the models feels like and how delicate it is, when looking at the close ups it creates a different feeling. Almost that want to touch it but not being able to makes me want to look at it more. To have this large scale in the gallery I will have to look at how to hand the model on the wall as the nail would be too noticeable to hang it. Perhaps I can experiment with using lots of small nails? Or even if I were to use the screws similarly to the one used during the Sound and Image Festival, maybe showing the screws could be part of the piece? Thinking then how would it change or add or effect the mod roc and the piece in the space? In terms of making the piece to display, at first I was thinking of creating a large one and using these smaller models as practice into how I want the model to look, but maybe another experiment would be to combine all of these models together to create a large scale piece. Combining all of my experience of mod roc during this time together, having models with different levels of energy translated into an overall experience. Maybe then sounds of how I made these mod roc could be playing along side to create an immersive experience for the audience.
