The pieces' response was varied, and I thought it was interesting how people perceived the work and how the approach I took did not have the effect I anticipated (Figure 1). There were responses on how the pieces looked like the Kamasutra, and the red added this idea. The overlaying figures look like they were getting intimate with each other, and the tissue paper's texture was confusing. How the art pieces were put on the wall created the discussion on how it followed the Japanese writing style of left to right and why the two overplayed tissue paper pieces were smaller than the black and white lines and shapes overlaid images. The idea of how the figures looked almost typographical was also mentioned. From this, I need to look more into what I want to say and what kind of movement I want to explore. Because it is such a large theme, I would need to narrow down the research to be more specific on what I want to explore, if that is what I chose to go further into. The images presented did not have the intention I was hoping for an was not as successful; however, I think it was a good place to start, and it showed me which aspects I would like to develop on and where I need to pull more focus onto. The next step would also be to experiment with different media and see where those experimentations lead this project.
